Resumo

As desordens orais potencialmente malignas, são lesões que apresentam modificações morfológicas que, a qualquer momento, podem evoluir para um carcinoma. Sendo assim, a identificação precoce destas lesões se faz essencial para um melhor prognóstico dos casos, aumentando a sobrevida dos pacientes.

Portanto, o objetivo dessa revisão foi identificar quais são as inovações tecnológicas no processo de diagnóstico das desordens orais potencialmente malignas.

O presente trabalho é classificado como revisão integrativa da literatura de caráter qualitativo e natureza básica pura, com fins descritivos, tendo como bases de buscas as plataformas: Pubmed (MEDLINE), Google Schoolar e Scielo. E foram utilizados os seguintes descritores em saúde: “technological innvations”, “diagnosing”, “desordens potentially malignant oral”, “lesions potentially malignant oral”. Por meio deste, foram selecionados 19 artigos com um intervalo de tempo de 5 anos, que ao serem revisados, demonstraram resultados promissores quanto as técnicas inovadoras no processo de diagnóstico das DOPM.
