Introduction: Colorectal diseases encompass a variety of conditions affecting the colon and rectum. Among these pathologies, colorectal cancer stands out as a major public health problem, being the third most common neoplasm and the second leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. Objectives: To conduct a comparative analysis between colonoscopy and computed tomography colonography for the screening and diagnosis of colorectal cancer. Methodology: A narrative literature review based on the following question: "What are the indications, advantages, and disadvantages of using computed tomography colonography compared to colonoscopy in patients targeted for colorectal cancer screening?" Conclusion: Combining different screening methods is essential for a more effective diagnosis, respecting patients' preferences and health conditions.
