The present study aims to review the clinical and biological results associated with atraumatic maxillary sinus elevation using the Summers technique, addressing current evidence available in the scientific literature. A literature review was carried out to identify relevant studies regarding the proposal of this study. Electronic databases, such as PubMed, Scopus, SciELO and Google Scholar, were consulted to obtain published articles. Atraumatic maxillary sinus elevation using the Summers technique has stood out as an effective and minimally invasive approach for rehabilitation in implant dentistry. This article aims to analyze the advantages of this technique and its clinical results. Through a review of the literature and analysis of clinical data from patients undergoing this procedure, the main advantages and results associated with this approach were identified. The technique demonstrated high efficacy, lower complication rates and faster recovery, standing out as a preferable option in clinical practice. Ultimately, this study contributes to the advancement of scientific knowledge by providing a basis for the development of more effective and personalized clinical protocols. The atraumatic sinus lift described by Summers is an approach that offers significant advantages, including a high success rate, lower complication rate, and rapid recovery. Preservation of Schneider's membrane contributes to the effectiveness and safety of the procedure. However, it is necessary to have a specialized skill and may not be suitable for all cases, especially in complex anatomical situations. Continuous research and improved clinical practice are essential to optimize results and expand understanding of its application.
