Resumo
O câncer de mama representa cerca de 24,5% de todos os diagnósticos de câncer e 15,5% das mortes relacionadas à doença, sendo a principal causa mortalidade na maioria dos países, a quimioterapia é considerada a abordagem terapêutica padrão ouro para o câncer de mama, contudo, evidências indicam que esse método pode provocar não apenas reações adversas físicas, mas também dificuldades cognitivas associadas ao tratamento. Objetivo: identificar evidências sobre as repercussões da quimioterapia na função cognitiva de mulheres com câncer de mama. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, exploratória e descritiva, na qual a coleta de informações nas seguintes bases de dados: LILACS, Google Acadêmico, e Periódicos da Capes, foram selecionados artigos datados entre 2018 a 2014. Resultados: Foram selecionados 8 artigos para compor a pesquisa. Conclusão: A quimioterapia repercute reduzindo de forma significativa a função e desempenho cognitivo de mulheres com câncer de mama, isso tem impacto latente nas atividades de vida diárias, pior desempenho em suas atividades laborais e qualidade de vida em um contexto geral.
