SPREADSHEET FOR BOVINE IDENTIFICATION AND CONTROL

Abstract

Most small and medium-sized farms control their cattle herds manually, with notes in notebooks or even sketches made by the employee who receives the animals. This results in a totally time-consuming and disorganized control process, without obtaining the most basic information about the animals that arrive or are already on the property. The aim of this work is to develop a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to help keep track of cattle herd data for small and medium-sized farms. The development of electronic spreadsheets for identifying and controlling cattle herds allows for the management of activities based on the data collected, optimizing working time, greater agility in obtaining information and total control of the cattle herd.
