Introduction: Lower back pain significantly impacts the quality of life of its sufferers, and physiotherapy serves as a valuable ally. Objective: investigate the effects of multidisciplinary physiotherapy on the quality of life of patients with chronic lower back pain. Methodology: Health science descriptors such as "chronic pain," "physiotherapy," "lumbar," and "treatment adherence" were used to search for relevant articles in databases like PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar. Inclusion criteria encompassed studies related to the effects of multidisciplinary physiotherapy within the last 10 years, available in English or Portuguese. Results: The literature review revealed that physiotherapists adopt various approaches in the treatment of chronic lower back pain, taking into account physical, psychosocial, and contextual factors. Multidisciplinary physiotherapy plays a significant role in the treatment of chronic lower back pain, employing diverse approaches that consider physical, psychosocial, and contextual aspects. Conclusion: Personalized treatment, the utilization of functional cognitive therapies, and complementary approaches such as myofascial release and aquatic therapy have shown promise in reducing pain and enhancing patients' quality of life. Nonetheless, it is crucial to individualize therapies to meet the specific needs of each patient.
