Abstract

Objective: to analyze the scientific evidence available regarding nursing care in the prevention of postpartum hemorrhage. Method: Review study, carried out in September 2023, using the databases: MEDLINE, LILACS, BDENF and SciELO. Results: 10 (ten) articles published between 2018 and 2023 were selected. Among the main results of the research, the following stand out: humanized assistance with auscultation and attention to the signs and symptoms of hemorrhage, use of tampons and misoprostol as a form of prevention and administer oxytocin and active management of the third period, compression massage on the uterine fundus, non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring, among others. Conclusion: In view of the above, it is clear that nursing care is aimed at prevention, being fundamental in the postpartum period, on the other hand, so that actions can be taken quickly and effectively, sometimes requiring the administration of.
