Introduction: Respiratory physiotherapy is seen as a non-pharmacological approach in the management of asthma, aiming to reduce respiratory discomfort and dyspnea, promote bronchial hygiene, improve respiratory mechanics and muscle strength, and improve the quality of life of pediatric patients diagnosed with asthma. Objective: To analyze the benefits of physiotherapy for children with asthma. Materials and Methods: Integrative literature review found in the Scielo, Pubmed, and Google Scholar databases, in Portuguese and English. Results: The reviewed studies indicated that respiratory physiotherapy can be an effective complementary treatment for asthma in children. The practice of physical exercises, breathing techniques, and muscle strengthening contributes to the control of symptoms and improves the response to crises. Scientific Contribution: The main contribution of this research is to highlight the importance of respiratory physiotherapy in reducing asthma symptoms, using techniques that improve pulmonary ventilation, clear airways, and strengthen respiratory muscles. Conclusion: Physiotherapy is clearly effective in the non-pharmacological treatment of asthma, contributing to a decrease in the frequency and severity of attacks, as well as improving the quality of life of patients.
