Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disease affecting the skin and joints, with an etiology involving genetic predisposition associated with environmental factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, diet, and stressful events. Recent studies have demonstrated alterations in nutritional status, with associations between psoriasis, obesity, and metabolic syndrome. Objectives: To evaluate dietary, social, and anthropometric factors in patients with psoriasis. Methods: A cross-sectional study involving the assessment of 53 patients was conducted. Participants completed a structured questionnaire addressing sociodemographic data, comorbidities, and lifestyle factors. Anthropometric profile was also assessed through body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, waist-to-height ratio, waist-to-hip ratio, conicity index, and dietary factors associated with psoriasis. Results: The mean age was 56.47 ± 12.53 years, with a predominance of individuals of mixed race, smokers, and low alcohol intake. A high prevalence of systemic arterial hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, and obesity was observed compared to the Brazilian population, along with a high rate of metabolic syndrome. Cardiovascular risk was elevated according to anthropometric parameters. The consumption of specific food groups revealed diets rich in total and saturated fats, simple carbohydrates, and low intake of fruits. Conclusion: Patients exhibited poor dietary habits, with a high prevalence of obesity-related comorbidities. Further clinical and nutritional studies are needed to validate our findings.
