O politrauma ortopédico representa uma condição clínica de alta complexidade, caracterizada pela ocorrência simultânea de múltiplas lesões do sistema musculoesquelético, frequentemente associadas a comprometimentos sistêmicos. Trata-se de importante causa de morbimortalidade, especialmente em indivíduos jovens, estando frequentemente relacionado a acidentes de alta energia. O manejo desses pacientes exige abordagem rápida, sistematizada e multidisciplinar, com ênfase na estabilização hemodinâmica e na definição do momento ideal para intervenção cirúrgica. O presente artigo tem como objetivo. Analisar os principais aspectos do politrauma ortopédico, discutindo critérios para indicação cirúrgica, estratégias de manejo e desfechos clínicos.
