Endodontic treatment of tooth 12 with periapical bone radiolucency using Bio-C-Temp for 30 days – lesion reduction 9 months after treatment completion.

This study reported the repair of a periapical lesion after endodontic treatment. A 42-year-old female patient was referred to an endodontist for endodontic retreatment of tooth 12. Clinically, she was asymptomatic, and the periapical radiographic examination revealed circumscribed periapical bone radiotransparency. After anesthesia, the coronal opening was performed. Root canal preparation was performed with a Solla Collors 70.03 file. Foraminal debridement was performed with a Solla 16.02 instrument to the actual length of the tooth. Intracanal medication, Bio-C-Temp, remained in place for 30 days. Root canal obturation was performed using the single cone technique associated with the bioceramic endodontic cement Bio-C Sealer. It is concluded that the treatment performed with a rotary system associated with intracanal medication determined the success of the endodontic therapy, with a decrease in periapical bone radiotransparency 9 months after the completion of the endodontic therapy.
