This study addresses the epidemiological analysis of the resurgence of tuberculosis in Brazil, with emphasis on recent incidence trends, the main determinants associated with the increase in cases, and the implications for public health. It consists of a narrative literature review combined with the analysis of secondary data, based on articles published between 2014 and 2026 in recognized scientific databases, as well as information obtained from official epidemiological surveillance systems. The findings in the literature indicate a significant impact of structural weaknesses in the health system and the discontinuity of surveillance actions during the pandemic, with direct repercussions on early detection and therapeutic follow-up. However, limitations are also identified, including underreporting, methodological heterogeneity among epidemiological studies, and regional variability of indicators.
