This study analyzes notifications of work-related accidents involving exposure to biological material in Brazil from 2020 to 2025, focusing on regional variations and temporal trends. The data show a progressive increase in total notifications until 2024, followed by a significant decline in 2025. The Southeast region reports the highest absolute number of cases, reflecting its larger population and economic activity, followed by the Northeast and South regions. The North and Central-West regions record the lowest numbers but also show growth over the analyzed period. The reduction observed in 2025 may be related to factors such as underreporting, changes in reporting processes, or impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. The results highlight the importance of continuous monitoring and the implementation of effective public policies to prevent these accidents, aiming to protect the health of workers exposed to biological risks. This study contributes to understanding the epidemiological profile of these accidents and supports targeted intervention strategies in the most affected regions.
