Abstract

Patient C.H.O.C., male, 4 years old, was referred to an Endodontist for endodontic treatment of tooth 52. The mother reported that the child had suffered trauma to some deciduous teeth due to a fall from his own height. Radiographically, periapical bone radiolucency was observed. After anesthesia and opening, the root canal was prepared with a Reciproc #R40 file, associated with irrigation and aspiration with 2% Chlorhexidine, and subsequently, electronic odontometry was performed with the apex locator. For obturation of the root canal system, a mixture of Glycerin, Zinc Oxide + Callen paste with PMCC was used to obtain CTZ paste. Clinical and radiographic follow-up was performed after 6 months. It is concluded that endodontic treatment of a deciduous tooth with rotary instrumentation resulted in success, demonstrating complete repair of the periapical lesion.
