Necrotizing fasciitis is a serious, rapidly progressing bacterial infection that affects soft tissues and can lead to multiple organ failure and death if not treated early. This article presents a clinical case report of odontogenic necrotizing fasciitis affecting the submandibular region of an immunocompromised patient, HIV-positive and in a situation of social vulnerability. The case highlights the importance of early diagnosis, aggressive surgical intervention, and multidisciplinary clinical support to minimize morbidity and mortality. It is also emphasized that factors such as immunosuppression, inadequate oral hygiene, and lack of medical care are determinants of the severity of the condition.
