Aesthetic Intervention with Botulinum Toxin in the Treatment of Dynamic Wrinkles:

Case Report

Abstract

Nowadays, the search for aesthetic treatments that aim to smooth wrinkles and expression lines on the face has become increasingly common, especially those associated with the use of botulinum toxin. This procedure consists of several stages, from evaluation, medical and social history of the patient, care during and after, among others. In this case report, we present a female patient who sought botulinum toxin treatment for dynamic and static wrinkles in the upper third of the face. Based on this, the patient underwent the cosmetic procedure with the following applications: 26U in the frontal muscle, 7U on each side of the corrugators, as well as 7U in the procerus muscle, and finally, 8U on each side of the orbicularis muscles, totaling 63U in applications. Afterwards, the patient was instructed to refrain from physical exercise for 48 hours, avoid sun exposure, and avoid sleeping on the treated area. Fifteen days after the botulinum toxin application, the patient was reevaluated and the results were satisfactory and effective.
