Abstract
The aim of this article is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the literature addressing the most effective interventions in preventing childhood obesity, examining their prospects for success, and identifying their limitations. This integrative review relied on the search for articles in English, Portuguese, and French, published between 2005 and 2023, obtained from the Scopus and PubMed research sources. It is observed that community and family interventions have the potential to positively impact physical activity levels and dietary improvement in children, with their effectiveness varying according to various factors, including the social, cultural, and individual context.
