REABILITAÇÃO ORAL MANDIBULAR POR MEIO DE PRÓTESE TOTAL PARAFUSADA SOBRE IMPLANTES

Abstract

The rehabilitation of fully edentulous patients using fixed implant-supported prostheses, commonly referred to as "All-on-4" or "full-arch" protocols, represents a significant advancement in modern dentistry. This treatment approach provides enhanced chewing stability, improved facial aesthetics, and restored patient confidence, overcoming the limitations of conventional removable dentures. The rigid fixation of the prosthesis onto osseointegrated implants minimizes common issues such as instability and discomfort, making it particularly advantageous in cases of severe bone atrophy.

This study presents a detailed clinical case report of an edentulous patient rehabilitated with an implant-supported full-arch prosthesis, covering the entire treatment process from initial assessment to final adjustments. The objective is to discuss patient selection criteria, surgical and prosthetic planning, applied techniques, and the achieved functional and aesthetic outcomes. Additionally, we examine the challenges encountered during the procedure and the strategies implemented to ensure treatment success.

The relevance of this topic lies in the growing importance of full-arch prostheses in oral rehabilitation, as well as the need to share clinical experiences that may assist other professionals in similar cases. Through this report, we aim to demonstrate that with thorough diagnosis and a multidisciplinary approach, predictable and long-lasting oral rehabilitation can be achieved, significantly improving patients' quality of life.
