Abstract

Dental transplantation is a surgical technique that uses the patient’s own tooth to replace a missing tooth. Third molars are often used as donor teeth for their realization. For a successful dental transplant, it is necessary to understand the condition of the tooth to be used and perform the procedure as minimally traumatic as possible to achieve the best results and minimize the probabilities of failure. This project’s main question is: is dental autotransplantation a treatment option for teeth with questionable prognoses, as an alternative to dental implants? Demonstrating through a clinical case report the performance of a tooth autotransplantation with 6 months of follow-up of this surgical procedure.
