Abstract

50 years ago the first dental implant was installed with the purpose of replacing missing dental elements, it was an innovation at the time and revolutionized the way patients were treated. In contemporary Implantology, the immediate installation technique with alveolar preservation procedures and minimally traumatic extraction preserve fundamental structures for implant installation and prosthetic rehabilitation. Guided surgery in the immediate technique using cone beam tomography, software and a surgical guide offers benefits for the professional and the patient in the pre-operative evaluation and surgical procedure. The objective of the present study is a clinical case report in which a dental extraction procedure associated with immediate implantation with guided surgery will be described. The volunteer initially underwent anamnesis, clinical examination and imaging tests and then proceeded to the surgical procedure of extraction and immediate implantation associated with guided surgery. After that, the implant-supported prosthesis was installed and a final tomography was performed after 60 days of follow-up. This work will demonstrate a technique already described in the literature, which can guide professionals in future rehabilitative treatments.
