The COVID-19 pandemic has intensified these factors, generating a significant increase in cases of the syndrome. Objective: To understand the causes and impacts of Burnout Syndrome among women in health, considering individual, organizational and gender aspects. Methodology: This is a bibliographic review related to Burnout Syndrome in female health professionals, 10 articles were selected from the SciELO, PubMed databases. The following inclusion criteria were defined: articles in Portuguese and English, published between 2002 and 2025 and that addressed the themes proposed for this research, review studies, meta-analysis and observational studies. Results and discussion: Women, especially those working in health, face a combination of stressors, including work overload, gender inequality and lack of institutional support. The pandemic has worsened these conditions, exposing professionals to emotional and physical overload without adequate support.
