Abstract
Objective: The All-On-Four technique is an oral rehabilitation method that uses four
implants strategically placed in both arches to support a fixed total prosthesis and a
removable partial prosthesis. It is an effective solution for patients with total edentulism
or significant bone loss, as it does not require the use of a graft before surgery and can
be used for patients with atrophic maxillae, for example. With planning and diagnosis
based on a detailed clinical evaluation along with complementary exams, the protocol
offers rapid, aesthetic and functional rehabilitation, allowing immediate loading
immediately after surgery or three days later. This article aims to present the main
points in the literature on the technique, from its definition to maintenance, with
emphasis on pre- and post-operative care and its biomechanics to restore the patient's
masticatory function.
