Abstract
Introduction: Cerebral palsy is a neurological condition that significantly affects mobility and motor coordination, in addition to impacting the cognitive and emotional development of patients, who face a series of challenges throughout their lives, both in the medical and social context. Nursing care plays a crucial role in the process of adaptation and development of the individual, in promoting well-being and mitigating physical and cognitive limitations. Objective: To analyze, through an integrative literature review, the humanization practices in nursing care for patients with cerebral palsy. Methodology: This is an Integrative Literature Review (ILR), which investigated and combined studies from different approaches, including experimental and non-experimental designs with the intention of integrating the results, and was composed of articles published between 2020 and 2024. Results: A total of 357 articles were found, of which 10 were part of the final sample. After critical analysis of the articles, they were categorized into three themes relevant to the present discussion of the results: The importance of a humanized approach in caring for people with cerebral palsy; Factors that negatively impact quality of life and the care experience; and Strategies to promote the humanization of nursing care. Conclusion: Therefore, the humanization of nursing care for patients with cerebral palsy is not only an ethical and legal guideline, but a practical requirement for comprehensive, welcoming and transformative care
