INTRODUCTION: Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL) is a B-cell lymphoproliferative neoplasm characterized by the presence of Reed-Sternberg cells, often associated with hospitalizations and mortality. OBJECTIVE: To describe the epidemiological profile of hospitalizations and deaths due to HL in Brazil between 2020 and 2024. METHODOLOGY: A descriptive, quantitative, and retrospective study with data from the SIH/SUS extracted from the DATASUS platform. Variables such as region, year, age group, sex, color/race, type of care, and hospital costs were analyzed. RESULTS: A total of 27,211 hospitalizations and 945 deaths were recorded. The Southeast led both indicators (46.31%; 45.82%), while the North had the lowest numbers (4.73%; 6.57%). In 2020, the lowest numbers of hospitalizations, deaths, and costs were observed (18.77%; 17.67%; R$ 13,607,477.13), while in 2023, the highest values of hospitalizations and deaths were recorded (21.20%; 22.96%), and in 2024, the highest costs (R$ 16,586,778.61). The most affected age group was 20 to 29 years (24.22%; 17.57%), with a predominance of the male sex (55.93%; 59.47%) and individuals of mixed race among the hospitalized (44.52%) and white individuals among the deaths (43.5%). The majority of care was of urgent nature (55.23%). CONCLUSION: The findings highlight the significant impact of HL in Brazil, with higher incidence in men aged 20 to 29 years, mixed-race individuals among the hospitalized, and white individuals among the deaths. The predominance of the Southeast and the high rate of urgent care emphasize the need for early diagnosis strategies and effective management.
