ATUAÇÃO MULTIPROFISSIONAL NA ASSISTÊNCIA À HEMORRAGIA SUBARACNOIDEA EM UTI: RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA

Abstract

Introduction: Cerebral aneurysm rupture is the most common cause of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), which refers to bleeding that occurs in the subarachnoid space and has a high morbidity and mortality rate. Symptoms include loss of consciousness, visual alterations, nausea, vomiting, fainting and neck stiffness. Objective: To present the experiences of caring for patients with SAH in an Intensive Care Unit. Methodology: This study is an interventional description of an experience report. The internship took place in a medium and high complexity hospital located in the eastern region of the state of Maranhão. Results: The Intensive Care Unit is a highly complex environment, with a wide range of technological resources, qualified human resources and a continuous and systematic routine for providing health services. The adult ICU allows practical interaction with various cases and experience in this sector is an important factor in professional training, adding knowledge and developing professional ethics. Conclusion: Interventions by the multi-professional team in cases of HSA are fundamental to ensuring patient safety and recovery.
