Abstract

Guided implantology stands out as an innovative, interdisciplinary approach that integrantes technological advancements into clinical dental practice, involving collaboration among a multidisciplinary team. This technique employs meticulous digital planning (through imaging exams and specialized software) and the fabrication of customized surgical guides, precisely directing the three-dimensional placement of implants during surgery. As a minimally invasive procedure, it significantly reduces surgical time and tissue trauma, leading to decreased postoperative morbidity. Consequently, faster recovery, reduced discomfort, and high patient satisfaction are observed. Beyond clinical advantages, process optimization and elimination of unnecessary steps contribute to the technique's economic feasibility. Compared to conventional methods, guided implantology offers superior outcomes regarding implant placement accuracy and procedural safety, reinforcing its widespread adoption in oral rehabilitation clinical practice.
