Total Regression of Periapical Bone Radiotransparency in Endodontic Treatment of Maxillary Central Incisor

The present study aims to report a clinical case of non-surgical endodontic treatment performed on tooth 11, with extensive periapical lesion. The methodology consists of an individual descriptive study of the case report type, which includes radiographic images of a 45-year-old female patient. After a complete clinical examination, endodontic treatment was initiated, with coronal opening, root canal exploration and root canal preparation performed with a Solla 70.03 file, associated with 2.5% sodium hypochlorite as an irrigating solution. The root canal system was obturated using the single cone technique associated with AH Plus endodontic sealer. Clinical and radiographic follow-up was performed one year after canal obturation, showing repair of the periapical bone radiolucency. It is concluded that the success of endodontic therapy is achieved when the diagnosis, sanitation and obturation of the canal system are correctly performed, as well as the repair of the periapical lesion.
