Introduction: Osgood-Schlatter Disease (OSD) is a common condition in active adolescents, causing pain in the tibial tuberosity due to repetitive traction of the patellar tendon. Objective: To review non-surgical approaches for treating OSD and their effectiveness in pain relief and functional recovery. Methodology: This involved a comprehensive literature review conducted in databases such as PubMed, covering studies on non-surgical interventions from 2015 to 2024. Results: The most effective treatments include personalized physiotherapy, modification of physical activity, and the use of orthotics. Physiotherapy is highlighted for using specific exercises to reduce pain and improve function; activity modification showed significant improvements in 80-90% of patients following changes in the type and level of physical activity, while orthotics helped relieve pressure on the tendon. Discussion: Complementary therapies such as shock wave therapy and platelet-rich plasma offer promising benefits, although more evidence is needed. The use of anti-inflammatories provides symptomatic relief, complementing the aforementioned interventions. Conclusion: The individualization of treatment is critical to optimizing outcomes in adolescents with OSD. While approaches such as physiotherapy and activity adaptation are fundamental, orthopedic devices and other therapies also play an important role when integrated in an informed and evidence-based manner.
