O uso da L-PRF em cirurgia de levantamento de seio maxilar

The aim of this article is to present L-PRF as an effective therapeutic option for maxillary sinus lifting, addressing its main indications, preparation and application protocols, clinical benefits, possible complications and the pre- and post-operative care required to maximize the results of the technique. The search was carried out on Google Scholar and Pubmed. The terms used to select the articles were: “maxillary sinus, L-PRF, sinus lift surgery and dental implant”, from 2015 to 2025. It was concluded that L-PRF has stood out as an effective option for bone regeneration, especially in procedures related to maxillary sinus lift. The results obtained with the use of this biomaterial have shown a high rate of bone neoformation, with excellent performance in increasing bone thickness and promoting implant osseointegration.
