Hodgkin's lymphoma or Hodgkin's disease is an oncological disease of the lymph nodes. This disease arises when lymphocytes or their precursors transform into atypical cells, called Reed-Sternberg cells. Its incidence is higher in males, with two peaks of morbidity: one between 20 and 30 years of age and the other between 60 and 70 years of age. This neoplasia is divided into two histological types: Hodgkin's lymphoma with nodular lymphocytic predominance and classical Hodgkin's lymphoma (CHL). In Brazil, the epidemiology of Hodgkin's lymphoma varies according to the region, which can be attributed to differences in environmental, social and health conditions. This study aims to analyze data related to hospitalizations for Hodgkin's lymphoma in the state of Rio Grande do Norte during the period from 2013 to 2023, in order to describe the epidemiological profile of the population affected by this neoplasm. This is an epidemiological, retrospective and descriptive research, with a quantitative approach, carried out from the collection of data obtained from the SUS Hospital Information System (SIH/SUS) through the DATASUS platform, about the epidemiology of cases of hospitalizations in the state of Rio Grande do Norte from 2013 to 2023. The analysis of hospitalizations for Hodgkin's disease reveals important data about its behavior and distribution. Males lead the hospitalizations, representing 55.95%, while females correspond to 44.04%. The increase in hospitalizations for Hodgkin lymphoma between 2019 and 2023, with emphasis on 2023, reflects improvements in diagnosis and access to treatment. Most hospitalizations occur in the Metropolitan region, and the most affected age group is 20 to 29 years old. The study highlights the need for public policies for early detection and expanded access to health.
