This study investigates the relationship between prolonged use of digital technologies and the exacerbation of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) symptoms. The objective is to analyze how excessive exposure to electronic devices can influence the worsening of ADHD symptoms. An integrative literature review was conducted in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS) databases, using the descriptors: “ADHD,” “screen time,” and “digital technologies.” The results indicate that excessive use of digital technologies is associated with increased symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity in individuals with ADHD. It is concluded that it is essential to implement intervention strategies aimed at controlling screen exposure time to mitigate the negative effects on people with ADHD.
