Abstract
Smiles that follow balanced anatomical proportions are naturally more attractive and this is related to self-esteem and the way a person is perceived socially. Thus, the growing search for an aesthetic smile and the sudden changes in social aesthetic standards are driving advances in restorative techniques. In this context, biomimetic dentistry is gaining prominence by offering aesthetic solutions that preserve the natural dental structure as much as possible, using minimally invasive techniques, with the aim of meeting patients' aesthetic expectations in a conservative and functional way. The aim of this study is to report a clinical case with a biomimetic and minimally invasive approach to restoring anterior teeth. Case report: A 28-year-old female patient came to the clinic complaining of dissatisfaction due to a crack in the incisal edge of tooth 11; in addition, a class III restoration with unsatisfactory colour was observed on the distal face of tooth 21. The use of the incremental technique proved effective in mimicking the natural tooth structure and masking the adhesive interface line. Minimally invasive and biomimetic techniques are effective in the aesthetic and functional restoration of anterior teeth.
