Abstract

This article aims to conduct a literature review on the interdisciplinary surgical management of medical emergencies in oncologic patients with cardiovascular diseases, focusing on treatment strategies and therapeutic interventions. For this purpose, the PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases were used, with the following search terms: "Medical emergencies, Surgical management, Oncology, Cardiovascular diseases, Interdisciplinary treatment." The review revealed that, in recent years, significant advances have been made in understanding the complex interactions between heart diseases and cancer, resulting in more effective approaches to surgical management of medical emergencies in these patients. Among these approaches, the interdisciplinary collaboration between oncologists, cardiologists, surgeons, and intensivists stands out, as well as the use of specific strategies such as advanced hemodynamic monitoring and minimally invasive techniques, aiming to minimize risks and improve clinical outcomes for these patients.
