Abstract

This article aims to conduct a literature review on the advancements in the treatment of polytrauma patients, with an emphasis on emergency surgical interventions. To this end, the PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases were used, with the search terms "Polytrauma, Emergency surgical treatment, Advances, Surgical management." The review revealed that, in recent years, significant advancements have been made in surgical approaches for the management of polytrauma, such as the implementation of minimally invasive techniques, the enhancement of early care protocols (such as ATLS), and the use of advanced imaging technologies for diagnosis and surgical planning. These advancements lead to better clinical outcomes, reduced postoperative complications, and faster recovery, with higher survival rates compared to traditional methods.
