Ehlers-Danlos syndrome represents a group of genetic connective tissue disorders which can result in complications during pregnancy, highlighting the need for studies on the subject. Several pregnancy complications can occur as a result of the syndrome, such as premature birth, bleeding and even maternal death, being that the worst gestational outcome is related to the vascular type of the disease. In this case, early diagnosis and pregnancy planning are essential for a better obstetric outcome. The aim of this article is to analyze Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and its complications in pregnancy and to review the literature on obstetric repercussions.
