This article reports a study that evaluated the effects of manual therapy in the treatment of patients with spondylolisthesis. To conduct the study, an integrative review of the literature was performed. The results indicated that patients with bilateral spondylolysis had a higher incidence of spondylolisthesis, while none of the patients with unilateral spondylolysis had spondylolisthesis and the incidence of this in patients without this condition was much lower. Therefore, it was determined that several techniques that will contribute to improving pain and quality of life, including the ALIF technique. Our results concluded that there was a good reduction of the detached vertebra, as well as an improvement in neural decompression.
