HIV e Tuberculose: Revisão da Literatura sobre Coinfecção, Qualidade de Vida e Desfechos de Tratamento

This article aims to review the current medical literature on the relationship between HIV and tuberculosis, examining the impact of coinfection on patients' quality of life and the effectiveness of available treatments. Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science indexes were used as search engines for the selection of articles, using the keywords "HIV, Tuberculosis, Coinfection, Quality of Life, Treatment". It is concluded that HIV-tuberculosis coinfection significantly impairs quality of life, with higher mortality rates and treatment complexities. Coinfected patients show increased vulnerability to complications, and combined treatments require a multidisciplinary and continuous approach for effectiveness and treatment adherence.
