PREPARATION OF THE LOWER MOLAR WITH A PERIAPICAL LESION WITH SOLLA FILES COLLORS FILES

This study reported the repair of a circumscribed periapical lesion with a diagnosis suggestive of chronic periapical periodontitis. A 29-year-old male patient was referred for endodontic treatment of the upper premolar. Clinically, he was asymptomatic and had a negative response to the cold pulp sensitivity test performed with refrigerant gas. After anesthesia, the coronal opening and root canal exploration were performed. The working length was determined with an apex locator, followed by gentle irrigation with sodium hypochlorite. The canal was prepared with a Solla Collors rotary file 35/04 and foraminal patency was achieved with a Solla Collors Glidepath file 16/02 in the apical foramen. The root canal system was obturated using the HB single cone technique, associated with Bio C Sealer cement. Clinical and radiographic follow-up was performed one year after the canal obturation, showing repair of the periapical bone radiolucency. It is concluded that the success of endodontic therapy is achieved when the diagnosis is correctly made, sanitation of the canal system with Solla Files Collors files and a hermetic obturation, as well as the definitive sealing of the coronary access.
