Abstract
Abstract: Lymphomas are a group of malignant diseases that affect the lymphatic system, and early diagnosis is essential for adequate treatment and patient prognosis. In this context, imaging tests play a fundamental role in the identification and evaluation of lymphomatous lesions. The objective of this work is to carry out a systematic review of the main imaging tests used in the diagnosis of lymphomas, analyzing their effectiveness, limitations and recent advances. For this, scientific articles published in the last 2 decades in databases such as Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), Pubmed and Google Scholar were searched. CT is effective in detecting enlarged lymph nodes, while MRI is especially useful in evaluating delicate and difficult-to-reach regions. PET-CT, in turn, stands out in the detection of aggressive lymphomas and in the evaluation of response to treatment. It is concluded that imaging tests play a crucial role in the diagnosis of lymphomas, allowing the precise identification of the location, size and extent of the lesions. However, it is important for physicians to be aware of the limitations of each test and keep up with technological advances to provide the best care for patients with lymphoma.
