Abstract

This article aims to perform an integrative review of innovations in the treatment of multiple sclerosis, using the PubMed database with the terms "Multiple Sclerosis", "Treatment", "Immunomodulators". In summary, innovations in the treatment of multiple sclerosis have brought significant advances in the management of the disease, resulting in improved therapeutic efficacy and quality of life for patients. New pharmacological therapies, including disease-modifying drugs and monoclonal antibodies, have shown promising results in reducing the frequency of flare-ups and slowing the progression of disability. In addition, advances in diagnostics, such as high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging and biomarker analysis, have enabled more accurate diagnosis and more targeted treatment. These innovations have contributed to a more personalized and effective approach to the management of multiple sclerosis. However, the successful implementation of these new strategies requires continuous improvement of clinical practices and detailed monitoring of patients. The integration of advanced pharmacologic approaches, along with nonpharmacologic therapies and psychosocial support, is crucial to optimizing treatment outcomes. As new technologies and treatments emerge, it is essential that the medical community and researchers continue to evaluate and adjust management strategies to meet individual patient needs and continually improve the effectiveness of multiple sclerosis treatment.
