Abstract
This article aims to evaluate the clinical aspects of autism carried out in the last five years. Integrative review in the BVS, LILACS, SciELO, PubMed database of works published between 2020 and 2024, combining the descriptors "autism", "diagnosis" and "treatment". Autism spectrum disorders are neurodevelopmental disorders characterized by deficient social interaction and communication, stereotyped and repetitive patterns of behavior and irregular intellectual development, often with mental retardation. It is concluded that the diagnosis is based on developmental history and observation. Treatment consists of behavior control and sometimes drug treatment
