Degenerative neurological diseases, such as Parkinson's disease (PD), Alzheimer's disease (AD), and multiple sclerosis (MS), represent significant public health challenges, especially in Brazil. These conditions are characterized by the progressive loss of neurological functions, severely impacting patients' quality of life and placing an increasing burden on the healthcare system. This study aimed to analyze hospital admissions due to PD, AD, and MS in Brazil between the years 2013 and 2023.It is a descriptive, retrospective, and quantitative study based on secondary data provided by the Hospital Information System (SIH) of DATASUS. The study included data on hospital admissions processed in Brazil during this period, focusing on variables such as sex, age group, region, race/color, and case outcomes. A total of 45,529 hospitalizations were detected. Among these, the highest frequency occurred in 2023 (13.28%), with the majority of hospitalized patients being female (62.63%). In terms of race/color, most individuals self-identified as white (51.18%). This study reinforces the need for public policies aimed at improving early diagnosis and managing these conditions in the country.
