Labyrinthitis, an inflammation of the labyrinth of the inner ear, is a dysfunction resulting mainly from previous infection by viruses or bacteria, and can result in vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus and imbalance, which significantly impacts on patients' quality of life. Multiprofessional management in vestibular repair for patients with labyrinthitis is essential to ensure an efficient and comprehensive recovery, involving ENT doctors and neurologists, as well as physiotherapists and psychologists. They play an indispensable role in diagnosis and therapy, through a detailed clinical assessment, using physical examinations such as the Romberg test and the Dix-Hallpike maneuver to identify the presence of vestibular and audiological symptoms. The use of complementary tests, such as audiometry and computerized dynamic posturography, helps to quantify the degree of vestibular and auditory impairment, facilitating an accurate diagnosis and treatment planning, which involves medication and exercises to compensate for vestibular deficits, reducing vertigo symptoms and improving postural stability. In addition to medical and rehabilitation professionals, multi-professional treatment can include the support of psychologists or occupational therapists, who help patients deal with the psychological impact of labyrinthitis. Psychological support is essential for dealing with the anxiety and stress associated with chronic symptoms, promoting a more holistic and effective approach to recovery. The integration of these various specialties allows for a more complete treatment adapted to the individual needs of patients. Multiprofessional collaboration ensures that all aspects of labyrinthitis are addressed, from symptom management to functional rehabilitation and psychological support. This multi-professional management not only speeds up recovery, but also significantly improves patients' quality of life, providing a more effective and comprehensive approach to labyrinthitis.
