Abstract

This paper aims to review the existing literature on the impact of anesthesia on patients with multiple comorbidities during the preoperative phase, focusing on effective strategies to reduce perioperative complications. The databases Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science were used to select articles that discuss the interaction between anesthesia, comorbidities, and risk management. The results indicate that a thorough assessment of the patient's health, combined with a personalized choice of anesthetic technique, can significantly reduce the risks associated with surgical procedures. The paper emphasizes the importance of individualized approaches and the application of evidence-based protocols to ensure the safety of patients with complex medical conditions.
