The treatment of complex fractures, characterized by the breakage of multiple bone segments and involvement of soft tissues, is one of the greatest challenges in modern medicine. The multidisciplinary approach, which integrates orthopedics, plastic surgery, traumatology, physical therapy, and psychology, has proven effective in improving clinical outcomes and patient recovery. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of this multidisciplinary approach, analyzing its impact on the quality of life and recovery of patients. This study is a narrative literature review. The methodology included a search in databases such as Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science, using specific terms and Boolean operators to refine the selection. A total of 450 articles were analyzed, of which 7 were selected for the final review. The results indicate that the multidisciplinary approach provides significant advances in the treatment of complex fractures, allowing for more precise surgical interventions and more effective rehabilitation. The use of advanced technologies and psychological support is essential to optimize the recovery process. The conclusions reinforce that the multidisciplinary approach not only improves physical outcomes but also addresses emotional aspects essential for the patient's full recovery. With the continuous advancement of technologies and medical practices, this approach is expected to become increasingly effective.
