Abstract
This article aims to evaluate the clinical aspects of prostate cancer performed in the last five years. Integrative review in the BVS, LILACS, SciELO, PubMed database of works published between 2020 and 2024, combining the descriptors "prostate cancer", "diagnosis" and "treatment". In Brazil, prostate cancer is the second most common among men (behind only non-melanoma skin cancer). In absolute values and considering both sexes, it is the second most common type. It is concluded that findings in the clinical examination (rectal examination) combined with the results of prostate-specific antigen measurement in the blood may suggest the existence of the disease. Treatment depends on the stage of the disease, age and general health of the patient
