Oral Anticoagulant, Dual Antiplatelet Therapy, atial Appendage OcclusionAbstract
This article aims to evaluate the ideal anticoagulation therapy for patients undergoing atrial appendage occlusion. The search engines PubMed and Embase were used to select articles, using the keywords “Oral anticoagulation, dual antiplatelet therapy, atrial appendage occlusion”. It is concluded that patients undergoing left atrial appendage occlusion should use antiplatelet therapy, however the choice should be individualized, since some patients do not have an indication for dual therapy.
