Abstract
As metástases cardíacas, apesar de raras, representam uma complicação crítica em pacientes com câncer avançado, frequentemente associadas a neoplasias de pulmão, mama e melanoma. Este artigo revisa de forma abrangente a incidência dessas metástases, os mecanismos biológicos subjacentes, as diversas apresentações clínicas, bem como os métodos diagnósticos e opções terapêuticas disponíveis. Devido à complexidade anatômica do coração e à diversidade dos tumores que podem acometê-lo, o manejo eficaz das metástases cardíacas exige uma abordagem multidisciplinar que envolve oncologistas, cardiologistas, radiologistas e cirurgiões. O prognóstico para esses pacientes é geralmente reservado, com uma sobrevida média limitada, enfatizando a necessidade de avanços contínuos na detecção precoce e no desenvolvimento de terapias mais eficazes. As perspectivas futuras incluem a personalização do tratamento com base em perfis moleculares dos tumores, a integração de novas terapias-alvo e imunoterapias, além da aplicação de tecnologias avançadas de imagem e biomarcadores circulantes para melhorar o monitoramento da progressão da doença e a resposta ao tratamento. A colaboração entre diferentes especialidades médicas e o estabelecimento de centros de excelência dedicados ao tratamento de tumores cardíacos são fundamentais para o aprimoramento dos cuidados e dos resultados clínicos.
