Além do Esgotamento: Desvendando o Crescimento do Burnout nas Macrorregiões Brasileiras através de Análises de Série Temporal

Abstract

Introduction: This study addresses Burnout, recognized as a response to chronic stress in the workplace, identifying it as a growing public health issue, especially in areas with high population density and intense economic activity. This disorder has become more prevalent with the increasing demands for productivity and competitiveness in modern economies.Objectives: The main objective is to understand the factors contributing to Burnout, identifying patterns of incidence and exploring regional socio-economic and cultural characteristics. With this information, the study aims to provide support for the development of public policies and organizational practices that can mitigate the incidence of Burnout and promote healthy work environments.Methods or Methodology: An observational epidemiological approach of time series analysis was used, collecting data from DATASUS from 2021 to 2023. The study included all Brazilian macro-regions, with a special focus on the Southeast region, analyzing the states of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo due to their economic relevance and occupational dynamics.Results: The analysis revealed an increasing trend in Burnout cases in the Southeast region, with Minas Gerais showing continuous growth in cases over the periods studied, Rio de Janeiro exhibiting dynamic variations, and São Paulo displaying an alarming progression. These results reflect the challenges faced in the labor environment of these states.Conclusion: The results of the study highlight the urgent need to implement occupational health policies adapted to local realities. The variability observed in the data suggests the importance of personalized strategies that involve education, prevention, early diagnosis, and effective therapeutic interventions. Intensified collaboration between the private sector, the government, and health professionals is crucial to develop and implement strategies that effectively combat Burnout, thus protecting the well-being of workers throughout Southeast Brazil
