This article analyzes the relationship between hospitalizations for urolithiasis and access to the general water supply network in Brazil. Data on hospitalizations from the Unified Health System and information from the 2022 Census on the population and access to water were used. Based on Spearman's Rho Coefficient, a moderate positive correlation (0.404) was found between increased access to piped water and hospitalizations for urolithiasis, with statistical significance (p<0.05). However, the observed correlation does not necessarily imply direct causality between these two variables, as we still depend on factors such as water quality and access to health services.
